Who it is not for

Who should not hire Revio for a website?

If you need the cheapest possible site, if a template already matches how you sell, if you want design with no build attached, or if nobody on your side can own content and decisions, a custom build is the wrong purchase. Each of those has a better and cheaper answer.

You need the cheapest site that exists

That is a real and legitimate requirement, and we are not it. A hosted builder will get you online for a few hundred dollars a year, and for a business that needs a credible address on the internet rather than a machine that sells, it is the correct decision.

There is a finding worth knowing here, because it cuts against the usual advice: in our audit of 1,348 recently funded companies, sites on Wix and Squarespace produced zero pages that were unreadable to crawlers, while sites on modern JavaScript frameworks produced the most. A hosted builder is not a compromise on being found. It is a compromise on fit.

A template already matches how you sell

If your business converts customers in a way a standard layout anticipates — you are a restaurant with a menu and a location, a portfolio business showing work — then a template is not a limitation. It is the shape you needed anyway.

Custom earns its cost when the template is making you sell in a shape that does not fit: an unusual booking flow, a quoting process, a product that needs explaining before anyone will buy.

You want design only, or a logo

We build. We do not take on standalone brand identity work, one-off logo projects, or design files handed to someone else to implement. There are studios that do that well and it is not a service we offer.

Nobody on your side can own it

A custom build needs one person who can supply content, make decisions, and approve work within a reasonable window. Not a committee, and not somebody who is already at capacity.

When that person does not exist, the project stalls for months and both sides end up unhappy with an outcome neither caused. If you cannot name that person right now, fix that before commissioning anything.

You want to rent, not own

Some businesses genuinely prefer a platform that handles everything for a monthly fee, with no assets in their name and nothing to maintain. That is a coherent choice with real advantages.

It is the opposite of how we work. Every asset we produce is registered in your name from day one, which means you also carry responsibility for it. If that sounds like a burden rather than a benefit, we are not the right fit.

Common questions

Do you build on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace?
We build custom rather than on hosted builders. If a hosted builder is right for your situation we will say so — our own research found those platforms perform well on machine readability, which is the thing most people assume they are bad at.
Do you do logo or brand design on its own?
No. We take on design as part of a build. Standalone identity work is not a service we offer.
