Websites, apps, ads and CRM for Westland businesses

What is actually hard about marketing here

Every place has its own version of the same problem. These are the ones that come up repeatedly with Westland businesses, and they are not the same as the ones a few miles away.

• Westland sits between several similarly sized cities, so service-area businesses compete for the same searches as neighbours a few minutes away.
• Auto and trade services here are chosen heavily on price transparency, and most local sites publish none at all.
• A large established residential base means repeat and referral business is the real engine, and almost nobody markets to their own past customers.

Questions we get from Westland owners

How do I stand out from competitors in Livonia and Garden City?

Specificity. The businesses winning these searches are the ones publishing the actual job, the actual price range and the actual photos, while the competition publishes a service list. Proximity you cannot change; being the only result that answers the question you can.

What is the fastest win for a Westland auto or trade business?

Publish prices for your most common jobs, and contact every customer from the last three years with something relevant. The second one usually fills a slow week faster than any advertising you could buy, and it costs the price of the messages.

Do I need to pay for leads in a market like this?

It is a reasonable way to fill a calendar while you build your own channels, as long as you know what a job from that source actually costs you. What it never does is leave anything behind — the day you stop paying, it stops.
